Well, you can't because Erin is wearing it in her mouth. Well, of course there's not really a tv in her mouth. That would just be silly. No what Erin has in her mouth that costs the same as a 52" flat screen tv is her new expander!

Oh, you can't see it... Well, here it is!
Oh well, in the end a beautiful smile is much, much better then a huge flat screen tv!Erin got her expander put in yesterday, and is doing pretty well with it all except for eating. She needs to figure out how to chew food and swallow without all the food getting caught between the expander and the roof of her mouth. It's slow going, and all she had time to eat at lunch today were her pears. She threw away her whole turkey wrap, Gogurt, and carrot sticks!
If anyone has any advice on eating with one of these please feel free to share it.

Oh my! I'm sure it's fun trying to eat with that in the roof of your mouth... Do you have to do the key thing? I remember one of my childhood friends had to have her parents take a key and turn it every so often to make it expand.
I'll have to ask Sarah if she remembers any tricks for eating with one of those things in her mouth. Tell Erin it will get easier.
Oh, BTW, does she just have the one on the top, or is there one on the bottom? Sarah had hers on top and bottom.
Yes, there is a tiny wheel in the middle that we have to turn with a key everyday for 14 days.
Can she use a water pick - I have a cordless one she may be able to use. Love, Grandma
